Evaluation ist die systematische Anwendung sozialwissenschaftlicher Methoden zur Beurteilung der Konzeption, Ausgestaltung, Umsetzung und des Nutzens bzw. der Wirkungen sozialer Interventionsprogramme. Ziele ist die Bewertung bestimmter Aspekte der Praxis, um die Qualität zu bestätigen oder Hinweise auf notwendige Änderungen zu erhalten.

Evaluation is the systematic application of sociological methods for judging a concept, arrangement, execution and use, regarding the effects of social intervention programmes. The goal is the assessment of specific aspects of practice, in order to confirm the quality or to maintain information about important changes.
